The Goob plot
There is a heat wave in Fenland, England. Goob Taylor has spent all of his 16 summers helping his mother at the roadhouse and harvesting the surrounding pumpkin fields. When his mother begins to hook up with Gene Womack, a dark stock car driver, Goob becomes unwanted. However, Goob's world changes when the exotic pumpkin picker Eva arrives.
