The Desert Demon plot

After Bill Davis rescues a Native American woman from the outlaw Jim Slade, he becomes lost in the desert, where his horse dies of thirst. Nita Randall, whose father runs a nearby mine, finds Bill in time to prevent him from suffering the same fate. When Slade hatches a plan to take over the mine, Randall's father kills one of the outlaw's men and then dies of a wound. Bill accepts the blame, and Nita turns against him.
