"He defied the army and navy . . . and they gave him a Court Martial!"
1921. From the air he is allowed to attempt to bomb the unsinkable ship Ostrichland. However, his superior does not allow to bomb from a good height or with a good tonnage, because then the navy would make a mistake with this new method of warfare. If he ignores his orders at the demonstration and carries out a successful bombing raid, he is demoted and sent to Texas. However, the stubbornness of the military leadership causes unfortunate accidents and to draw attention to the importance of the air force, he insults the military leadership in the presence of the press and has to appear before the disciplinary board.
