I did read the books back then (and I actually didn't really like them). But much richer and more beautiful visually than this film, which is actually only a very weak imitation. And well, I actually kind of forgot about that, but halfway through I remembered that I don't have anything with Darryl Hannah. And yes, a film like that lasts quite a long time. And no, the promise of the poster is not really fulfilled.

If you see this film as a sketch of what social interaction was like with the Neandertal, then I thought this was successful to a certain extent. And I can reassure most of them : they don't speak English. There is voice over. This is a film adaptation of the first book by the famous author Jean M. Auel and tells the story of Ayla, who as a young girl is accepted into the Cave Bear's klan. I certainly found the way of communicating credible here... this must indeed have been a combination of sounds and gestures to give the sound more meaning. Not great... La Guerre du Feu was definitely better... Daryl Hannah also seems like a miscast to me, but considering my low expectations I thought this was a stroke of luck.
