The Archer plot
Lauren Pierce is the school archery champion but ends up in Paradise Trails, a wilderness correctional facility, after she hospitalized a boy in self-defense. Lauren discovers the corruption within her institution under the sordid rule of guard and bowhunter Bob Patrice. She escapes along with the rebellious Rebecca and Bob's bow. However, they are pursued by the increasingly desperate Bob, who will do everything he can to keep his secret buried. Even if it means he has to dig two extra graves.
