The Annunciation plot

A newlywed couple wants a child. At least, the man likes it. When his wife Xia isn't pregnant after a year, Dong blames her. After checking, it turns out that there is nothing wrong with Xia. Dong does not doubt his own fertility and starts using stimulants to do it even more often and thus increase the chance of having a child. Xia comes up with a solution: she becomes pregnant by someone else. When Dong finds out that he is barren, the turnips are done.
