Chance Wayne returns to his hometown after years, joined by the forgotten actress Alexandra Del Lago, whose connections land him a shot at a movie role. He meets his ex-girlfriend Heavenly Finley, daughter of the politician Tom Finley, with whom Wayne used to have such major conflicts that they led to his departure from the city. With his return, old conflicts with the Finleys flare up again.
