Svet-Ake plot
In a remote village in southern Kyrgyzstan, an electrician – everyone calls him 'Mr Light' – tries to please everyone. He takes care of the old people who often suffer from short circuits, rescues boys from trees, listens to the drivel of drunks and tampers with electricity meters to supply everyone with power. Unfortunately, that makes him unpopular with the authorities, especially with the opportunistic politician Bezkat who wants to sell the land to the Chinese. However, 'Mr Licht' still has two dreams: for himself that he – a father of four daughters – will have a son one day and for the people that they could finally have cheap electricity through wind energy.
