Spiral plot

Alexander, a young actor, has been in a spiral of self-destruction for several months and becomes heavily addicted to alcohol and drugs. One night, he is stabbed by drug dealers and nearly dies. To get out of his addiction, he writes the screenplay of a movie "Spiral" where he wants to play the lead role of Daniel. Olivier Rainer, a director he admires, agrees to direct the film and have Alexander pass screen tests, while he rewrites the script to include elements of the actor's personal life.
