Schicksalsjahre plot

In World War II, Ursula (Maria Furtwängler) marries Wolfgang (Pasquale Aleardi), who soon has to fight against the Russians on the Eastern Front. She is going to live with her aunt in Danzig. Two years later, the war is over, but she is told that her husband has been unofficially pronounced dead. She tries to make a living, but is then told that her husband is still alive. He even seems to be married.
