Mark is a sex and drug addict homosexual who wakes up one day after an overdose. Under pressure from his family, he is placed in a Christian care facility, led by Gayle. She thinks she can get rid of his 'gay disease' through spiritual guidance. At first, Mark resists the friendly attempts of Gayle and her husband Ted, but he soon finds genuine warmth and comfort in the atmosphere and presence of fellow sufferers, such as Scott. However, the friendship between Mark and Scott unexpectedly develops into a romance, which obviously threatens the institution.
