Roch Thériault is the leader of a bizarre commune with eight women and 26 children. When a social worker visits the commune, everything seems to be in order. But her intuition senses despair and sorrow in the women. After further investigation, she stumbles upon strange rituals and a dead child. She puts her life and job on the line and is determined to free the women from the cruel tyranny of Roch. But Roch surprisingly manages to mislead the police.
