Sant Tukaram plot
Tukaram, a farmer and grocer, loses interest in the material world after his wife and child are starved to death. He neglects his second wife and children to devote himself to religious poetry. He gathers a group of followers and is worshiped by many, but there are also those who oppose him. He is charged with stealing songs. Despite all the setbacks, however, he is determined to continue his work.
