Salawati plot

When twelve-year-old Wati's brother threatens to drown, she calls a man for help, but he ignores her cry for help and Wati's brother drowns. After this, Wati's mother tries to keep the family together and her father tries to contain his anger by taking refuge in Islam. Wati learns that an alcoholic Indian courier and a Chinese man played a role in her brother's death and she sets out to follow them.
