Rivers Wash over Me plot

His mother's death is more than grief and sorrow for 15-year-old Sequan Green. Now the teen is forced to move from progressive New York to his conservative family in North Carolina. He goes out of his way to get along with most people, but feels most attached to an unruly young woman. When Sequan meets someone new, even he finds that love can be more than just a memory. However, the theft of a rifle from the headmaster's car throws a spanner in the works.
