Pope Dreams plot

"He's dealing with love... fighting with his dad... caring for mom... and making music. What's that got to do with the Pope?"

Andy Venable is a 19-year-old young man who works in a warehouse during the day for his hard, cold father and at night plays the drums in a heavy heavy metal band. But now his only target is his ailing mother, a devout Catholic woman, whose last wish is to see the Pope before she dies. While he is busy with his father, he falls for a girl who does not fit into his social circle at all. But through her he is discovered by two producers who see in him a musical talent. This may well be his true calling.
