Operation Manhunt plot
During the Cold War, Igor Gouzenko, an employee of the encryption and decryption department at the Soviet Embassy in Ottawa in Canada, longs for the freedom of the West. In September of 1945, he walked over to the West with his wife Katya and children, carrying many 'top-secret' documents. The Russians want to kill Gouzenko in hiding and order Colonel Rostovich to do so. Rostovich enlists the publisher and spy Voilov, who has been living in Canada for some time. Volov then writes a letter to Gouzenko to publish a book about him, but Gouzenko is very suspicious.
