Northern Borders plot
'Northen Borders' tells the story of ten-year-old Austen Kittredge, who is sent by his father to live at his grandparents' farm in Vermont. It's 1956 and Austen sees the farm as a place full of eccentric people, topped off by his stubborn grandparents whose thorny marriage is known as the Forty Years' War. At first he finds himself trapped in this broken household that makes young Austen soon to flee the house, but soon he is left with no choice but to stay and bite the bullet.
