"Nature Unleashed Series"

It begins on an icy mountaintop high in the rugged Ural Mountains in Russia, on a glacier, on the roof of the world. This inhospitable, grim place is familiar territory for Thom Cussler and his brother Jock, two Westerners trying their luck in Russia's fledgling capitalist economy. They run an ailing business that allows adventurous tourists on snowmobiles high in the mountains to experience the ultimate winter thrill. During such a trip, a huge snow ridge on the ridge unexpectedly breaks off and an avalanche is created. The brothers make it out alive, but the village, all the way down in the valley, is not so lucky. Avalanche sirens blare, but the panicked residents barely have time to flee as the avalanche rages down.
