Mon Homme plot

Marie is a beautiful young whore who enjoys her job. She offers men comfort and 'real' love. One evening she sees a bum lying between the garbage cans in front of her house. It is Jeannot, who becomes her great love. She takes him in, gives him food and clothes. She asks him to be her pimp, but of course a nice one. Everything she will earn, she wants to give to him. He agrees, but in the meantime goes to bed with other women, whom he persuades to work as a whore for him as well. However, the police are watching him. One day he is arrested and sentenced to five years in prison. During the police interrogation, Marie hears about Jeannot's activities, she knew nothing about it. Deprived of her great love, she asks a boy in a cafe to marry her and have children. In this way Marie becomes a housewife and mother. Jeannot is released, but in order to get Marie back, he must first ask her forgiveness.
