Mi-in-do plot
Born into a family of established court painters, 7-year-old Yun-jeong is a girl who has been given the talent to paint. However, the pressure to uphold the family tradition is on her brother's shoulders, as women are not allowed to make painting their profession. While her brother practices, his sister helps him by secretly painting for him. The girl's life is turned upside down when her brother commits suicide. To continue the family tradition, under pressure from her father, she takes her brother's name and goes through life like a man.
