Mei Li Zai Chang Ge plot
A film about two girls, both called Mei-li (meaning 'beautiful'). One comes from a wealthy family, but is neglected by her parents. The other is the daughter of a construction worker, who wants to save his daughter from poverty. The two Mei-li's meet when they get a job at a cinema. They become friends and talk a lot about their family, work and school and budding love. However, the complex Taiwanese family relationships seem to be steering the fate.
