Mater Dolorosa plot

The story of a woman who dominates illegal activities in an old quarter of Manila. She has to weigh the well-being of her family against the interests of the criminal company she runs with her children. Her sons Joseph and Eli deal with stolen cars, drugs and gambling. Her daughter Fatima forms the link with the corrupt police. Benjamin, the youngest, tries to keep them out of harm's way. Before the turn of the year, things take a dangerous turn when the mayor and his criminal son launch a counterattack.
