Maihime plot

Namiko Yagi is a former ballet dancer and runs a small ballet school in post-war Tokyo with her daughter Shinako. She is unhappily married to the teacher and writer Motoo, with whom she also has a son named Takao. Since her early years, Namiko has been in love with Takehara and he with her. And while they both want more, they are nothing more than friends.
