Karima and her brother have recently lost their mother. Now they are on their own and on each other. On her deathbed, their mother asked them to look for their biological father, who left them when they were born. That search takes them to hospitals and birth centers where they meet people who give them an idea of what kind of life they could lead in the future. Because that is the big question they face: what should their future life look like?
