Ma Fille plot
Hakim and Latifa fled the Algerian civil war in the early 1990s. They have been living in the Jura ever since, with their two daughters: Nedjma, 14, and Leila, the eldest, who is learning to be a hairdresser in Paris. Three days before Christmas, Nedjma receives a short text message from her older sister. She won't be able to come to them for the holidays because she has too much work again. Latifa convinces Hakim to visit Leïla and bring her with him. Nedjma will go with him, they will take the opportunity to explore Paris. When they arrive at the hair salon, they learn that Leila has never actually worked there...
