Lovely Boy plot
"The spiral into drugs of a talented young musician."
Italian trap music - a mix of hip hop, dance and dub, which takes its name from the Atlanta slang "trap" for a house that sells drugs - is the backdrop to a story of addiction and potential recovery. The action travels back and forth between two periods in the life of trap star Nic - whose stage name Lovely Boy is tattooed under one eye. The first part sees him find fame with his bandmate Borneo, as his life and relationship with his girlfriend fall apart as he slides into addiction. The second part unfolds in a remote drug rehabilitation center in the Dolomites.
