Løgneren plot

Annemari has an affair with a civil servant while her fiancé is at sea as a fisherman. In the meantime, however, she would rather spend her time with the older schoolmaster than with the official or the fisherman. The schoolmaster, a daydreaming alcoholic, sees something in Annemari, but he in turn is attacked by a rich peasant woman, who wants him in her bed.
