"Ripped Raw and Roaring from Real Life!"

In Chicago's infamous South Side neighborhood, Nellie Romano battles her drug dependence and struggles to survive her poverty-stricken life since her husband was executed for the crimes he committed. Nellie also fights for her son Nick, to prevent him from becoming a criminal like his father. Nick wants to escape his environment, but even with the help of some friends, it will be a very tough battle for him and also for his mother.
