La Vie Promise plot

Sylvia, a 40-year-old prostitute, lives in Nice with her daughter Laurence. When Laurence witnesses a violent confrontation between her mother and two men, she intervenes, making the situation even worse. There is only one option left for mother and daughter: to flee! Desperate, they search for Piotr, her first husband with whom she has a son, because she believes he is the only one who can help them. During their search, she meets Joshua, a man on parole. Along the way, she is confronted with her life, her past and the son she left behind years ago.
