At the end of the 19th century, young Sarah leads the life of a hermit on an island. Scarred on her face and barely recognizable voice (the result of a serious accident), the young woman of overprotective parents prefers the company of birds to people and dreams of her prince on the white horse. One day, the handsome young Gaudion is shipwrecked and Sarah sees him as her prince.
