La Buena Estrella plot
Marina, a glass-eyed woman, is beaten up by her boyfriend Daniel. Rafael, a good-hearted butcher, witnesses this. He saves Marina from Daniel. She tells Rafael about the bad conditions in which she and Daniel grew up and that she is pregnant. Rafael has his own physical problems, but the two remain a couple. He takes care of Marina's child like a father. Years later, however, Daniel is at the door again; just got out of jail and looking for a place to stay.
