La Bête Humaine plot
Film adaptation of Émile Zola's book of the same name. When Roubaud learns that his wife Séverine is sleeping with her employer to secure her job, he becomes angry and they decide to kill her employer together. This succeeds, but Jacques Lantier, who is in love with Séverine, is a witness. Séverine also sleeps with him to make sure he keeps quiet.
