L'Éternel Retour plot
Patrice travels to a remote island to find a young wife for his Uncle Marc. He meets the beautiful blond Nathalie, who wants to escape from poverty and therefore agrees to his proposal. The wedding takes place, much to the disappointment of Gertrude, an aunt of Patrice. Because of Marc's marriage, she and her family now miss out on the inheritance. Bitterly, she looks for an opportunity for revenge, which she gets when she discovers that Patrice feels more than just friendship for Nathalie.
