This film is structured in a diptych: the first episode recounts Abdellah's teenage years, when he begins to understand several things: his sexuality, social codes, inhibitions, the brutality of the patriarchy and the brutality of poverty. The second half follows young adult Abdellah as a poor academic who travels to Geneva, where he is confronted with the insidious sexual, racial, political and social pitfalls that threaten a young gay Moroccan in Europe.
