L'Absence plot

Adama, a successful scientist, returns after fifteen years to his hometown in Senegal, to his only family: his grandmother and deaf-mute sister. To their own surprise, they find out after only two days that he wants to return to France, despite previous promises. Adama is shocked that his sister has ended up in prostitution. He meets his old teacher and his best friend, who both think he should not close his eyes to the situation and take responsibility. His sister's situation is becoming increasingly dire, and Adama will soon have to make important decisions...
