Kruso plot

1989: When his girlfriend is killed, Edgar Bendler leaves Berlin. He becomes a dishwasher on Hiddensee, the island in the Baltic Sea where people turned to when they wanted to flee the GDR. Here is Alexander Krusovich, Kruso, the linchpin of a small community of washed up drowning people of all kinds. They form a special and apparently close-knit group of loners who run a restaurant for day trippers there: Zum Klausner.
