Kladivo na Carodejnice plot
Moravia (today's Czech Republic) in the 17th century. When a Catholic priest accuses a woman of serving as a demon host, an already retired Inquisitor sees his chance to make a name for himself and start an investigation. The Inquisitor soon accuses entire families and becomes wealthy by confiscating their property. Hundreds of people, after being brutally tortured, confess to being 'witches' and are sentenced to death.
