"A battling drama of mortgaged manhood."

Metalworker Richard 'Dick' Brunton saves the lives of two employees at the factory. His boss Arthur Parker invites him to dinner. There he meets his daughter Dorothea 'Dot' Parker. She is impressed by Dick and vows to marry her father within a month.
