Il Vero e il Falso plot

In a moment of blind rage, Luisa Santini has a fierce fight with her husband's mistress and the woman remains lifeless afterwards. Luisa's trial is conducted in a hasty, unconvincing manner, and she and her lawyer are not given sufficient opportunity to defend themselves. She is convicted and locked up in prison. However, she is released three years early. Finally, she visits her husband again and discovers that he lives with the same woman for whose murder she was convicted. Angry and frustrated at the injustice, she kills his mistress, this time for real. At the new trial, the surprising truth comes to light...
