Il Mio Compleanno plot

Riccardino is about to turn eighteen in the foster home where he lives. He has been separated from his mother, a woman with severe personality disorders, for four years. Despite the attentive guidance of his caregiver, who wants to guide him towards a safe future in the foster home, Riccardino decides to run away, join his mother and go live with her. His illusion will soon turn into a bitter truth and Riccardino will have to make a difficult choice.
