A visual poem based on the story of FE Sillanpää. The fates of several characters converge during a summer night in the Finnish countryside. Lumberjacks, the fawn-eyed young man Nokia, a poor peasant family, a young girl with her lover. New life arises, old life perishes, a man in the prime of his years is slaughtered and his widow goes on with her life.
