Hog Island plot

A disgruntled young housewife decides to say goodbye to her comfortable life in San Francisco one morning. In her robe and slippers, she takes the car and drives north. While her husband tries to track her down with growing desperation, she rents a cottage on Tomales Bay. There, she soon befriends 2 bums, who compete for the mysterious woman's affection.
