Here I Am a Stranger plot
Unhappy Clara takes her son David to England and leaves her husband and alcoholic Duke Allen in America. In England Clara wants to start a new life. She meets a rich Englishman, whom she marries. Time goes by. Growing up, David wants to return to the United States to learn more about his father. Because David's father was an athletic hero at school, he is fondly remembered. After hearing all the praise for his father, the curious David starts a search for him.
