Her Social Value plot

Saleswoman Marion Hoyte, unlike the other family members, tries to improve her situation. That is why Marion accepts his attention when she accidentally meets the young architect James Lodge, who clears her of the charge of stealing a wallet. Leroy, a suitor of Marion, and her sister Bertha object, but Marion soon becomes engaged to James. Shipley, a financier, plans for James to marry his daughter Gwendolyn and be engaged to design the new Capitol, but when Marion and James marry, Shipley withdraws his support and Marion is ostracized by James's social circle.
