Engaged to a rich dummy, 22-year-old college student Matt Larkin falls for the fledgling seduction skills of Jewel, someone who finds himself a bit on the fringe of society. Jewel lives across the river that flows past his university in Cincinnati. Matt immediately falls head over heels in love, although he knows that when he starts a relationship with Jewel, the safe life he's led so far will come to an end.
