Experience Preferred... but Not Essential plot

With her high school diploma in her pocket, sixteen-year-old Annie takes a summer job as a waitress in a remote hotel in the countryside. At first she is shy and uncomfortable with the lavish lifestyle of her new friends Ivan, Hywel and Paula and the strange love triangle that her boss, his wife and his mistress have. The Scottish cook Mike, however, provides a resting point for Annie in this turbulent whole. Annie is introduced to the mysteries of adult life: high heels, makeup, alcohol and then something beautiful blossoms between her and Mike.
