Rollo returns to the house he grew up in after his retirement. He does not wish to be disturbed in his final days and is absorbed in memories of his lost love, Lark. But then his niece arrives, and the ensuing romance between her and Lark's nephew causes Rollo to reevaluate his life, offering advice to the young couple to ensure they don't make the same mistakes he used to make.
