Elinor Norton plot
"The Story of a Girl Who Lived and Loved!"
During World War I, Elinor Norton's husband Tony becomes jealous when she kisses her farewell friend Bill Carroll, who loves her. Tony argues about this over dinner, which ends up ruining their meal, but when he apologizes, Elinor forgives him. Four weeks later, Tony accepts a call to fight in France. Although he doesn't have to go, this is an escape for Tony from his unhappy marriage. While Tony is at the front, Elinor works on the war effort on the home front and meets Brazilian Rene Alba on the job. After dancing together for a few nights, Rene tells Elinor that he is in love with her.
