Educação Sentimental plot

A chance meeting brings them together: Áurea, a middle-aged teacher, and Áureo, a young man. Immediately, Áurea tells the story of Endymion, a handsome young shepherd who, according to Greek mythology, was coveted by the Moon Goddess. She decides to come to Earth to kiss him, whereupon Zeus makes him sleep forever as punishment. Áureo listens with interest to the stories the woman tells him. At her home she tells him about her past as a writer, about her father and mother, and about the loneliness of her life.
